Chocolate Finance
The Chocolate Games

To launch Chocolate Finance’s "The Chocolate Games," we created a high-energy campaign inviting users to compete for a share of 10 million Max Miles. The premise was stupidly simple: play four quick, reflex-based mobile games like The Blink, Make It Rain, The Tap, and Cash Cow for a chance to win. The films needed to feel as fast, addictive, and rewarding as the games themselves, capturing the frantic adrenaline of a screen-tapping frenzy.
The Craft
Directing for the Swipe

The campaign was built from the ground up for a mobile-first audience. As Director, my primary focus was extracting high-energy, expressive performances that translated physical actions into an irresistible invitation to play. From a technical perspective, I made sure every swipe, blink, and tap was clear on camera. I opted for a faster shutter speed to minimize motion blur, which kept the fast-paced actions sharp and made the footage easy to key out for downstream compositing.
Directing the Head-to-Head

The 15-second Grand Finale spot demanded a shift in tone. It wasn't just about casually playing anymore, it was about the top players battling for the ultimate grand prize. I had to direct both talents to interact directly with one another, ensuring their on-screen chemistry and competitive energy matched the high stakes of the final showdown.
Editing
Micro-Narratives in 6 Seconds

For the 6-second social cutdowns, every single frame mattered. By isolating specific mechanics, like associating a frantic swipe with a beach holiday or a simple blink with a trip to Tokyo, I built micro-narratives that delivered the hook and the reward instantly. The edits had to mimic the rapid-fire gameplay, keeping viewers hooked before they could scroll away.
Motion Graphics & Color

Beyond the offline edit, I animated the core graphical elements to elevate the campaign's visual identity. This included the flowing pink ribbon, the coins, and the simple but highly expressive typography animation.
For the color grade, the goal was vibrant consistency. I dialed in the look to make the pinks on the talents' wardrobe pop and match perfectly, anchored by a consistent brown base across their outfits. Most importantly, the grade was carefully balanced to beautifully preserve and highlight a wide range of natural skin tones across our diverse cast.
