Designing for an Open House
Tampines West is home to more than 76,000 residents and has a community club for the district, called Club@West. The community club is throwing an open house to showcase the wide range of activities on offer, catering to the young and old. However, attendance has trouble reaching the professional young adult demographic as most are either busy with work/family, or would prefer engaging in activities closer to their work area. The solution was to offer masterclasses, value-adding activities that appeal to this group.
Likewise, the visuals are primarily targeted at working professionals. The community club and its iconic clock tower was illustrated using simple line art and the wide range of activities neatly arranged in a grid. The visual design was adapted into various formats like a flyer, poster and vertical banners that will be hung on street lamps around the area.
